Business Management School at the Bocconi University (Scuola
di Direzione Aziendale-SDA) was founded in 1971. It is
Italy's leading teaching institute whilst also being internationally
renown for its philosophy on managerial culture.
Intensive research activity, innovative teaching programmes,
highest quality lecturers, constant contact with the economic
and productive world, and a strong international feel are
the distinct characteristics of the School.

a Faculty consisting of more than 550 lecturers and researchers,
the SDA promotes training programmes in Italy and abroad:
during '98 the School offered over 1,000 courses- amongst
which were Master Degrees, executive courses and customized
training schemes- that attracted around 11,000 participants.
The
SDA gives lessons on all the strategic elements of training.
The school's work daily interests a vareity of players such
as: local and national government institutions, large-scale
industrial companies, financial intermediaries, service-orientated
organizations, small and medium sized businesses, public
administrations, non-profit institutions, professionals
and entrepreneurs.

Learning in SDA

SDA
pays particular attention towards the furnishing sector.
It has set-up a course named "Sistemarredo",
which is a managerial training programme based upon the furnishing
industry.
